- Biography
- Antwuan Wallace is a Ph.D. Candidate in Policy Analysis at Milano, The New School for Management and Urban Policy where his dissertation investigates how democratic approaches to municipal broadband policies and attending economic development affect working poor families. Currently, Antwuan is a research assistant at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University conducting research in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission on state and municipal broadband deployment and policy.
As a Board Member for the Association for Community Networking (AFCN), he was selected to serve as At-Large Member for Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organizing international efforts achieve a more balanced representation of commercial and noncommercial users and more flexible Internet-user working group structure.
Antwuan recently completed an extended National Academies’ Mirzayan Science and Technology Graduate Policy Fellowship collaborating with the Institute for Peace, Google, Apple, Microsoft and other corporate industry leaders on the role of information communication technologies in global peace-building initiatives and diplomacy. He previously served as Senior Program Consultant to the Media Justice Fund of the Funding Exchange working in the United States, North Africa and Europe on international communications rights agenda. He is a national board member on the Association for Community Networking, Consumer’s Union Hear Us Now.org and the United Church of Christ's Media Empowerment Project.
